Lead your expeditions Beyond the Gates in this first core set for Altered, a brand new and innovative trading card game. Collect Rare and Unique Altered cards to restore order in this magical world plagued by the chaotic tumult.

Starter Decks are perfect for new players: shuffle your cards and you can play with them right away! They contain 40 cards (39 cards + 1 Hero), a rule leaflet, a foldable playmat with the game zones, the 5 Adventure cards, 2 Reminder cards, 1 Foiler card and some markers as well! Once you feel like you know your deck, customize it with Rare and Unique cards from booster packs which you can get here! Don't forget to scan your cards: adding your cards to your digital collection is needed to unlock all of the digital features Altered has to offer.

A magical storm was triggered when the imaginary world collided with reality, and has swept over the world, erratically and fatally transforming everything in its path. Humanity survived in secluded communities, factions emerging each with their own opinion on how to approach this Altered world. 500 years later and it is time to venture into the Tumult and stabilize the chaos that rules.

Choose your faction:

Muna

The Muna, guardians of balance, patiently and diligently seek to restore the harmony that was lost thanks to the chaotic tumult. Like gardeners, they cultivate the world to make it less impermanent; like weavers, they link beings and things together in a great tapestry. They hope that through this restored bond the Tumult will be calmed and the unstable fluctuations threatening the universe will cease.

Axiom

The Axiom rely on the scientific method and technology to stabilize their immediate environment and are determined to share this ability with all of humanity. Under their influence, society is experiencing a new industrial revolution in which reason and progress go hand in hand. And the Faction doesn't intend to stop there.

Yzmir

The universe has a hidden face. It is clear now that the world is more than it's tangible elements that humanity would need to understand if it hoped to control its new environment – or simply survive. The Yzmir have dedicated their lives to discovering the dangerous and unsettling truth hiding behind the deceptions. For this Faction, knowledge goes hand in hand with power. Perhaps that is what is needed to face the dangers that lurk at the margins of perception.

Lyra

The world is in a state of Tumult, but this is simply how it must be. By accepting this truth, we can appreciate its beauty and realise the world has always been ephemeral and changing. This tendency has now simply become even more pronounced. It's up to humanity to adapt, to let ourselves be transformed, and to pay tribute to our ever-changing world. The Lyra are firm in this belief and use art in all its forms to experience true freedom.

Ordis

Faced with the instability of the new world, humanity must embrace order if there is to be any chance to rebuild. With unwavering dedication, the Ordis focuses all its efforts on bringing structure to its environment. Like a sprawling anthill, it strives to build a solid backbone durable enough to support the world in the long term. But the Ordis know that nothing will last unless it is founded on ideals of justice, solidarity and equality.

Bravos

To cope and survive in this new dangerous world, humanity must push itself beyond its limits and become more resilient. This philosophy is the basis for the Bravos belief system and the source of their strength. Driven by a singular desire for self-improvement, the Bravos tackle challenges head-on and strive to show everyone that motivation is all that's needed to move forward.
